Our approach to privacy #

Qeweo does not treat the user as a source of data, but as a presence.

Data processing is carried out exclusively to the extent necessary to ensure the operation of the website, to implement the user’s informed choice, and to comply with applicable legal obligations. Data is not used for behavioral profiling, targeted advertising, automated decision-making, or commercial analytics.

What data may be processed #

When using the website, the following categories of data may be processed:

— technical data of the browser and device (such as device type, browser version, interface language);
— IP address, which may be processed temporarily at the level of server or CDN infrastructure solely for security, content delivery, and abuse prevention purposes. IP addresses are not used to identify users, for profiling, or for behavioral analysis and are not retained longer than technically necessary;
— user interface preferences (site language, visual theme, reading mode), depending on the privacy settings selected by the user;
— data voluntarily provided by the user when submitting texts or messages.

Qeweo does not require registration, does not create user accounts, and does not assign persistent identifiers to users.

Legal grounds for data processing #

Data processing is carried out on the following legal grounds:

— the necessity to ensure the basic functionality, stability, and security of the website, subject to the protection of the user’s rights and freedoms;
— the user’s voluntary, specific, and explicit consent for optional categories of processing;
— compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Refusal of optional categories of processing does not restrict access to the website. In such cases, certain user preferences may apply only within the current session and may not be retained between visits.

Cookies and related technical mechanisms #

Qeweo uses cookies and related technical mechanisms strictly within the scope described in the Cookie Policy.

The following are applied:
— essential mechanisms required to ensure security and the basic logic of the website;
— functional mechanisms — exclusively at the user’s discretion;
— analytical mechanisms — exclusively at the user’s discretion and without behavioral profiling.

Cookies and related mechanisms are not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or the creation of user profiles.

Processing of Messages and Data

To protect forms from automated submissions, we use Cloudflare Turnstile.

The verification is performed on Cloudflare’s side and does not result in the storage of any user data on our server.

We do not use the verification results to identify users.

Data storage and deletion #

The method and duration of data storage depend on the privacy settings selected by the user.

When functional mechanisms are disabled, user preferences may be stored only on a session basis — within the current browser tab.

When the functional category is enabled, certain preferences may be retained between visits using cookies.

Upon withdrawal of consent, optional data is deleted within the technical capabilities of the browser.

Anonymity and absence of profiles #

Qeweo does not create user profiles and does not aggregate data into behavioral or marketing models.

The publication of texts is carried out without creating an account. Management of published materials is performed using a unique technical key provided to the user upon submission. This mechanism is not intended to identify the user’s identity.

Disclosure of data to third parties #

Qeweo does not transfer personal data to third parties as independent data recipients, except in cases where such transfer is objectively necessary to ensure the operation of the website’s technical infrastructure or to comply with legal requirements.

In such cases, processing is limited to the minimum necessary scope and is carried out subject to contractual and legal safeguards for data protection.

International users #

The Qeweo website is accessible to users from different countries. Data processing is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as other applicable regulations depending on the user’s jurisdiction.

Regardless of the region of residence, Qeweo adheres to a uniform high standard of privacy protection.

User rights #

The user retains control over their data regardless of the technical architecture of the website.

Within the limits of applicable law, the user has the right to obtain information about data processing, to restrict or discontinue optional processing, to withdraw previously given consent, and to request deletion of data where legally permissible.

Consent management #

The user may change or withdraw their consent at any time via the cookie management interface or the website settings.

Changes are applied transparently, without hidden consequences and without degrading the basic accessibility and functionality of the website.

Limitations of the approach #

Qeweo deliberately does not implement certain mechanisms commonly used on other websites, including personalization based on behavioral history, persistent user profiles, and hidden identifiers.

This may limit certain convenience scenarios, but constitutes a deliberate architectural and ethical choice.
