Data Ethics
Last updated: January 20, 2026
Qeweo is a space of presence.
That is why the approach to data here is not technical or commercial, but human.
We do not see a person as a source of information.
We see them as a presence within a space.
Data is not a resource or an asset for us.
It is only a side trace of interaction that arises as the space exists.
How we relate to a person #
At the core of Qeweo is a refusal to treat a person as an object of analysis, measurement, or evaluation.
We do not seek to understand the user through data, behavior, or models.
A person’s presence in the space should not require explanations, classifications, or interpretations by the system.
The role of data #
Data in Qeweo is not used as a tool for influence, optimization, or prediction.
It does not serve to build portraits, profiles, or behavioral patterns.
Any technical traces of interaction are treated as secondary and as having no independent value.
Minimization as a choice #
Data minimization in Qeweo is a deliberate architectural choice.
The less the system knows about a person, the more room remains for freedom and self-directed presence.
We avoid solutions that require accumulating personal information, long-term identification, or behavioral history.
Control and reversibility #
Qeweo’s technical mechanisms are designed with reversibility in mind.
The system does not assume irreversible states in which a user loses control over their choices or their interaction with the space.
We do not create situations where refusal or changing a decision worsens the very possibility of presence.
Ethics over convenience #
Qeweo deliberately refuses certain practices that are widespread in digital products.
We do not pursue personalization, recommendations, or automatic adaptation to the user.
This approach may make the system less “smart”, but it helps preserve honesty, transparency, and respect for the person.
Qeweo does not aim to be efficient at the expense of attention.
It aims to remain quiet.
A space without observation #
Qeweo does not exist to study a person.
It is created as a space where one can be without needing to be understood, measured, or interpreted by the system.
We do not collect data to learn who you are.
We create conditions in which you can be without observation.
This is our data ethics.
Not as a policy.
Not as a requirement.
But as a form of relationship.
